
Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Appoints Namrata Bhagwatula and Aneesh Gupte as Partners in General Corporate Practice
The leading law firm in India, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) has announced the appointment of Namrata Bhagwatula and Aneesh Gupte as Partners in the firm’s General Corporate Practice in Mumbai.
Namrata Bhagwatula brings over 11 years of experience in private equity investments, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions, and general corporate advisory. She has advised on a wide range of high-value and complex transactions across sectors such as renewable energy, healthcare, technology, and telecom. She has worked closely with multinational and Indian clients, including private equity funds, multilateral and development finance institutions, and venture capital investors. Prior to joining SAM, she was Counsel at Trilegal in New Delhi.
Aneesh Gupte has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, private equity investments, venture capital and early-stage investments, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, restructuring, and general corporate law. He advises a diverse client base including large domestic companies, multinational corporations, private equity firms, venture capital funds, and start-ups. Before joining SAM, he was a Partner at Desai & Diwanji.
