The Conference seeks to provide an academic and research-oriented platform for academicians, practitioners, industry professionals and students to examine the evolving landscape of trademark law in India.
With the rapid growth of digital commerce, social media, e-commerce, technological innovation and globalised trade, trademark law is increasingly required to address new forms of infringement and changing approaches to brand protection.
The Conference will particularly examine contemporary issues such as online infringement, domain-name disputes, keyword advertising, social-media impersonation, counterfeiting and the use of trademarks in AI-generated content. It will also consider the effectiveness of existing remedies, the role of courts and enforcement authorities, and possible legal and policy reforms.

Emerging Trends in Trademark Protection in India: Legal Enforcement and Challenges
The Conference will provide an opportunity to revisit landmark judicial decisions shaping Indian trademark jurisprudence and critically examine emerging approaches to trademark protection and enforcement.
Through research paper presentations, expert deliberations and interactive academic sessions, the Conference aims to identify contemporary challenges and possible avenues for legal and policy reform.

The above sub-themes are indicative and not exhaustive. Papers addressing other relevant topics and interdisciplinary themes are also welcome.
Call for Papers
Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished abstracts relating to the theme of the Conference. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Editorial Committee on the basis of relevance, originality, clarity and quality of research.
Authors whose abstracts are selected will receive an acceptance email. Registration will open only after acceptance of the abstract. Selected authors will subsequently be required to complete the registration process by 26 October 2026.
All participants are required to present their abstracts during the Conference proceedings on 31 October 2026.
Selected papers will be published in the Conference proceedings without any additional publication charges.

Abstracts will be screened for relevance, originality, clarity and quality of research.

Papers not complying with the prescribed word limit, plagiarism threshold, formatting requirements or citation style may be subject to rejection or revision.
Eligibility
The Conference invites submissions from students, academicians, researchers, practitioners and industry persons interested in contemporary developments in trademark law and intellectual property.
Papers may be submitted with a maximum of two authors. In case of co-authorship, both authors are required to register individually under the applicable co-author/double category.
