Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Law, namely LL.B. or B.L., from a recognised Indian university.
- General category candidates must have secured First Class in the LL.B. or B.L. degree.
- PwBD candidates must have secured Pass Class in the LL.B. or B.L. degree.
The discipline or specialisation mentioned in the candidate’s degree certificate must correspond with the discipline or specialisation prescribed in the advertisement.
Where the university follows a CGPA, credit or grade-point system, candidates must provide the formula prescribed by the university for converting the CGPA or credits into a percentage.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for General category candidates is 25 years as on July 1, 2026.
- PwBD candidates having a minimum disability of 40% are entitled to relaxation of 10 years in the upper age limit.
- Age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen will be provided in accordance with Government guidelines.
Where the date of birth is not mentioned in the Matriculation or Higher Secondary School Certificate, a birth certificate issued by the competent authority will be considered.
Salary and Allowances
The selected candidate will be appointed in the pay scale of Rs. 40,000–3%–Rs. 1,40,000.
In addition to the basic pay of Rs. 40,000, the selected candidate will be entitled to applicable benefits under the company’s rules, including:
- Dearness Allowance;
- House Rent Allowance;
- Perquisites amounting to 35% of annual basic pay;
- Performance Related Pay;
- Group Life Insurance;
- Medical reimbursement;
- Provident Fund;
- National Pension System; and
- Gratuity.
Selection Process
Candidates satisfying the prescribed eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for a written test. Candidates qualifying in the written test will be provisionally shortlisted for the interview in the ratio of 1:5.
The minimum qualifying marks in the written test and interview, separately, are:
- General candidates: 35%
- PwBD candidates: 30%
The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in both stages. The prescribed weightage is:
- Written Test: 85 marks
- Interview: 15 marks
The written test will be conducted in Bengaluru only. The exact date and time will be communicated to candidates through the email address provided in the application form.
Application Fee
The application fee for the post is Rs. 600 plus 18% GST.
Candidates belonging to the following categories are exempted from payment of the application fee:
- Scheduled Caste;
- Scheduled Tribe;
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities; and
- Ex-Servicemen.
The application fee must be paid through SBI Collect. The fee is non-refundable, and payment through cheque, demand draft or cash will not be accepted.

Documents Required
Candidates must attach self-attested copies of the following documents with the application:
- SSLC, SSC or Class 10 marks card as proof of date of birth;
- LL.B. or B.L. degree certificate;
- Formula for conversion of CGPA, OGPA, grade points or credits into percentage, wherever applicable;
- Final consolidated marks sheet and degree certificate;
- Final-year marks sheet where the final degree certificate has not yet been issued;
- Provisional degree certificate, where available;
- Caste, tribe or disability certificate in the prescribed format, wherever applicable;
- Physical copy of the SBI Collect payment receipt;
- Identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Voter ID, Passport or PAN Card; and
- Additional certificates, if any.
The SBI Collect Reference Number generated after payment must also be entered in the application form.
Important Instructions
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- Applications received after the last date will be summarily rejected.
- Incomplete applications, applications not submitted in the prescribed format or applications without the required supporting documents will be rejected.
- Fulfilling the minimum eligibility requirements does not confer a right to be called for the written test or interview.
- Shortlisting will be based on the information declared by candidates in the application form.
- Requests for changing the mailing address, email address, category or degree after submission will not be entertained.
- Candidates employed in Central or State Government departments, public sector undertakings or semi-government organisations must produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of the interview.
- All future correspondence with candidates will be made through email.
- Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
Travelling Allowance for Interview
Outstation candidates called for the interview will be reimbursed to-and-fro rail fare by the shortest route, either from the correspondence address or the actual place of departure, whichever is lower.
Reimbursement will be subject to the production of tickets and supporting documents. Travelling allowance is restricted to AC Chair Car or AC Three-Tier fare.
