OGEL has invited applications from Indian nationals for contractual engagement against its immediate requirements. The engagement is purely temporary in nature and may involve working in shifts, performing duties at remote or far-flung installations/locations and being available on an “On-Call” duty basis.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility requirements as on the last date for receipt of applications:
- Must have passed a full-time LL.B. (3-year or 5-year integrated programme) with a minimum of 60% marks or an LL.M. from a Government-recognised University/Institute.
- Specialisation in Corporate Law, Contract Law or Labour Law will be preferred.
- Must have more than 1 year of post-qualification work experience in corporate legal, contract management and litigation support roles.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Upper Age Limit: 45 years
Salary
The Legal Officer will receive consolidated contractual emoluments of ₹60,000 per month.
The total contractual emoluments consist of fixed and variable components.
Contractual engagements will also be eligible for TA/DA entitlements, lodging and incidentals for the actual number of days worked for OGEL outside the place of posting, as per company policy.
Job Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Legal Officer include:
- Drafting, reviewing and finalising EPC, O&M, land, consultancy, supply and tender-related agreements.
- Developing and maintaining standardised contract templates aligned with company guidelines.
- Providing legal inputs during tendering, bidding and project execution.
- Advising management on company law, contract law, labour laws, electricity laws and environmental regulations.
- Handling legal aspects relating to land acquisition, lease, sub-lease, transfer and approvals.
- Managing litigation and arbitration and coordinating with external counsel.
- Identifying and mitigating legal risks, monitoring regulatory changes and supporting claims/recovery.
- Performing any other allied duties assigned by the Reporting Officer/Head of Department.
Skills and Experience
According to the notification, candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Full-time LL.B. (3-year or 5-year integrated) with a minimum of 60% marks or LL.M. from a Government-recognised University/Institute.
- Specialisation in Corporate/Contract/Labour Law will be preferred.
- More than 1 year of post-qualification work experience in corporate legal, contract management or litigation support roles.
- Experience in corporate legal, contract management or litigation support is desirable.
Period of Contractual Engagement
The contractual engagement may be made for an initial period of 3 years, extendable by up to 1 year based on performance and continued requirement, or may be co-terminus with the project duration, whichever is earlier.
The contract may be terminated by either party at any time by giving 30 days’ notice.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through a Screening-cum-Personal Interview carrying a total of 100 marks.
The minimum qualifying marks are 50 marks for all categories.
Candidates may be assessed on parameters including:
- Professional knowledge and skills in the concerned discipline;
- Professional knowledge and skills in allied disciplines;
- Personal attributes; and
- Soft skills.
Final selection will be made on merit based on the marks obtained in the Personal Interview, subject to securing the qualifying marks of 50 or above.

Eligible candidates are required to produce original documents along with a set of self-attested copies while reporting for the Personal Interview. These include, as applicable:
- Filled-in Personal Bio-Data Form in the prescribed format;
- One recent 3 cm × 3 cm coloured passport photograph;
- Valid photo identity proof and address proof issued by a competent Government authority;
- Class X certificate containing the date of birth;
- Relevant educational qualification certificates and marksheets;
- Experience certificates;
- Applicable category/disability certificates;
- No-Objection Certificate from the employer, where applicable;
- Employees’ Provident Fund Member Pass Book, if available;
- Aadhaar Card;
- PAN Card; and
- Bank Pass Book.
PwBD Suitability
As per the notification, the Legal Officer post has been identified as suitable for specified categories of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), including the categories indicated by OGEL in the official advertisement.
