The leading law firm in India, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co has announced the appointment of Aneesh Gupte as Partner in its Mumbai office. He joins the firm’s Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions practice, where he will advise on complex corporate transactions, private equity investments, joint ventures, venture capital, and cross-border deals.
Aneesh Gupte brings over 13 years of extensive experience in Private Equity, M&A, and corporate advisory work. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening the firm’s transactional practice and advising clients on high-value domestic and international mandates across sectors.
Experience
Aneesh Gupte is currently Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (Apr 2026 – Present) in Mumbai, where he is part of the Private Equity, Mergers & Acquisitions and related corporate practice. Prior to this, he served as Partner at Desai & Diwanji from Apr 2013 to Apr 2026 in Mumbai, focusing on Private Equity and M&A transactions, including corporate structuring and advisory mandates.
Education
He holds qualifications including BCom, LLB, CS, and Solicitor (Law), and studied at Bombay Scottish School during 2003–2006.
