CMS Expands Saudi Presence with Riyadh Office Move to KAFD

The international law firm CMS has announced the relocation of its Riyadh office to the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), marking a significant milestone in the firm’s continued expansion in Saudi Arabia.

The new office, located at Level 6, Building 1.09 (Muqarnas Tower), Financial Boulevard, KAFD, will serve as the base for CMS’s Riyadh team and positions the firm at the heart of the Kingdom’s leading business and financial hub.

Adrian Bell, Managing Partner of CMS UK, said,

“We have experienced a remarkable period of growth in Saudi Arabia, and this move reflects our ambition for the years ahead. Establishing our presence in KAFD, alongside many of the region’s leading institutions, sends a clear signal that CMS is here for the long term and is ready to play a leading role in the legal market as the Kingdom continues its transformation.”

The relocation places CMS in close proximity to key business and government entities, strengthening its ability to support clients across the Kingdom and the wider region.

James Abbott, CMS Middle East Regional Managing Partner, commented,

“In part, this move is about investing in our people. We wanted to create a space that reflects our diverse, ambitious, and collaborative team. Our new office provides an environment where colleagues can do their best work, develop their careers, and feel inspired, while also helping us attract and retain outstanding talent as we continue to grow.”

Mohammed Aldowish, Managing Partner of CMS Riyadh, added,

“CMS is continuing to invest in its international footprint. As part of our firm’s culture, we are committed to forging strong relationships with our communities, and our new office brings us even closer to the clients and institutions at the centre of the Kingdom’s economic development. This move will enable us to deepen relationships, respond even more effectively to client needs, and work in an environment that reflects the quality and commitment our clients expect from us.”

CMS has been active in Saudi Arabia since 2004 and was among the first international law firms to establish a fully integrated office in the Kingdom, including opening a Regional Headquarters in 2024. The firm currently has five partners based in Riyadh, advising across corporate, regulatory, banking and finance, infrastructure and projects, dispute resolution, technology, media and telecommunications, and real estate matters.

Globally, CMS has more than 7,200 lawyers across over 50 countries, with a strong presence in the Middle East, including offices in Oman, Turkey, and the UAE.
