The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the UGC NET June 2026 results for 84 subjects on August 28, 2026. Of the 6,07,151 candidates who appeared, 4,241 have qualified for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor. Results for English, Commerce and Sociology will be released separately after the re-conduct of their examinations.
UGC NET June 2026 Result
The National Testing Agency has announced the results of the UGC-NET June 2026 Examination for 84 subjects. The examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30, 2026, and July 5, 2026. It was held at 655 examination centres across 286 cities for a total of 87 subjects.
The results for 84 subjects were declared on August 28, 2026.

According to the official NTA press release, 7,73,806 candidates registered for the 84 subjects, while 6,07,151 candidates appeared for the examination.

UGC NET June 2026: Registered Candidates
Of the 7,73,806 candidates registered for the 84 subjects:
- Female: 4,30,195 (55.59%)
- Male: 3,43,575 (44.40%)
- Third Gender: 36 (0.01%)
English, Commerce and Sociology Exams to Be Re-Conducted
The results presently declared do not cover English, Commerce and Sociology. NTA has stated that the examinations for these three subjects will be re-conducted on September 9 and 10, 2026.
Candidates belonging to these subjects may receive an “Invalid Application Number/Password” message if they currently attempt to access their UGC NET June 2026 scorecard.
Their scorecards and results will be made available only after the re-conduct of the examination.
Final Answer Key and Result Processing
NTA had displayed the Question Papers, Provisional Answer Keys and Recorded Responses of candidates for the 84 subjects from August 16 to August 18, 2026, inviting challenges from candidates.
The challenges received were examined by experts, following which the results were processed on the basis of the answer keys finalised by the experts.

Candidates can check and download their scorecards from the official UGC NET website. Candidates need to log in to the portal to view, download and print their scorecards.
Verification of Eligibility and Documents
NTA has clarified that the eligibility criteria, self-declaration and various documents of eligible candidates will be verified by the concerned authorities in accordance with the norms prescribed in the UGC-NET June 2026 Information Bulletin and following due process.
