Shelita’s homecoming to boost Hogan Lovells’ Litigation, Arbitration and Employment practice
Former Senior Deputy GC of Comcast Corporation re-joins Hogan Lovells as a litigation partner in Washington, D.C. office
Global law firm Hogan Lovells announced the return of Shelita M. Stewart as a partner in the Litigation, Arbitration, and Employment practice group in Washington, D.C.
She will be part of the firm’s Sports, Media & Entertainment, and Technology & Telecoms sectors.
Shelita had started her legal career with Hogan Lovells (then Hogan & Hartson) as a summer associate during her years in law school and was associated with the firm for seven years before she opted to join Comcast Corporation where she was Senior Deputy General Counsel.

During her years at Comcast, she developed, implemented, and maintained its corporate compliance program, with a focus on government interactions and community partnerships.
Shelita advised on Comcast’s interactions with global and domestic government officials and entities and counseled Comcast’s businesses on the investigation, defense, and remediation of alleged civil and criminal violations, potential internal misconduct, external crises, and other compliance-related events.
In addition, she also led legal diversity initiatives at Comcast and participated in pro bono programs focused on serving the company’s diverse Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. communities.

Shelita has experience with the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, several state Attorneys General, and has handled matters involving international enforcement agencies – seen as key to Hogan Lovells’ global clients.
