About the Job :
Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates and Solicitors has opened up applications for the position of an associate for their dispute resolution team at Mumbai.
Eligibility :
(i) PQE: 2 to 4 years
(ii) Strong analytical and research skills
(iii) Strong experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, with exposure across all stages of proceedings
(iv) Demonstrated capability in appearing before courts, tribunals, and arbitral proceedings
(v) Experience in white-collar defence and investigations will be an advantage
Responsibility :
(i) Manage cases from filing to trial, ensuring timelines are met
(ii) Conduct legal research on case law and statutes
(iii) Advise clients on legal rights, risks, and case progress
(iv) Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and briefs
(v) Handle evidence gathering, witness interviews, and discovery
(vi) Represent clients in hearings, trials, mediation, and arbitration
(vii) Negotiate settlements where appropriate
