About the Job :
Balaji IP Practice is inviting applications for the position of Trademark Associate from candidates with relevant experience in trademark prosecution and attending hearings before the Trademarks Registry.
Eligibility :
• Strong research and drafting skills
• Good understanding of basic legal concepts and commercial laws
• Ability to conduct independent legal research and analyse case law
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Experience: 1–2 years
Responsibility :
(i) Filing and prosecution of trademark and copyright applications
(ii) Handling opposition, rectification and related proceedings before the Trade Mark Registry
(iii) Drafting notices, pleadings, written submissions and other litigation-related documentation
(iv) Legal research, portfolio management and compliance with statutory deadlines.
(v) Drafting plaints, written statements, writ petitions, affidavits, appeals and related court pleadings.
(vi) Assisting in commercial agreements, advisory work and dispute resolution matters.
(vii) Appearances before the Trade Marks Registry, Copyright Registry, District Courts and the High Court.
