
Saveetha School of Law is inviting registrations for the fourth edition of the Jus Lex Trial Advocacy Competition, scheduled to be held offline from September 15 to 17, 2026. The competition is open to students pursuing three-year and five-year law programmes in India. Interested teams may register by August 20, 2026.

About the Competition
Jus Lex 2026 is a Trial Advocacy Competition aimed at strengthening law students’ understanding of criminal law and courtroom practices. The competition is centred on the recently enacted criminal laws in India and provides a national platform for aspiring advocates to demonstrate their courtroom and advocacy skills. It seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical legal education and practical litigation by encouraging critical thinking, persuasive argumentation and strategic litigation skills.
Participants will take part in realistic trial scenarios involving witnesses and judges, thereby gaining an immersive understanding of the functioning of trial courts.
Eligibility
The competition is open to students enrolled in a recognised three-year or five-year law programme in India.
Team Composition
Each participating team must consist of the following members:
- Two speakers
- Two witnesses
Mode of the Competition
All rounds of the competition will be conducted in offline mode.
Number of Teams
Participation in the competition is restricted to a maximum of 24 teams.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for each participating team is Rs. 4,000.

- Runner-up: Rs. 8,000
- Best Advocate: Rs. 1,500

The total rewards offered under the competition are worth up to Rs. 23,000.
