Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: LL.B. from a recognised University/Institution.
- Professional Requirement: Enrolment as an Advocate with a State Bar Council/Bar Council of India and a valid right to practise.
- Drafting Skills: Good drafting skills are essential.
- Language Requirement: Punjabi passed up to Matric Standard is essential.

Nature of Appointment
The post of Law Researcher is advertised on a contractual basis.
Application Fee
- General Category: ₹2,000 + 18% GST.
- SC/ST and PwD Candidates: ₹1,000 + 18% GST.
SC/ST and PwD candidates who are not domiciled in Punjab must pay the application fee applicable to the General Category.
Candidates claiming reservation benefits must upload a Punjab State Domicile Certificate/Punjab Residence Certificate issued by the competent authority.
The application fee is non-refundable.
How to Apply?
- Candidates must submit their applications through online mode only via the university website: www.psou.ac.in.
- Complete all mandatory fields in the online application form and provide accurate educational, professional and other relevant details.
- Upload the required documents, including educational qualification certificates, experience certificates and reservation certificates, wherever applicable.
- Upload scanned photographs and signatures separately in JPEG format. Each image must not exceed 150 KB.
- After submitting the online application, take five printouts of the completed application form.
- Affix the same passport-size photograph uploaded with the online application and send the printed application along with one set of self-attested supporting documents to the address below.

- Candidates already in service must forward their applications through the proper channel and produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of interview.
