Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants must:
- Hold an LL.B. degree (3-year or 5-year) with at least 55% aggregate marks.
- Have appeared in CLAT PG 2026 (conducted in December 2025).
- Be eligible for registration as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India/State Bar Council.
- Have obtained the LL.B. degree from a college/university recognised by the Bar Council of India.
Age Limit
Candidates must be 21 to 27 years as on 1 January 2027, i.e., born not earlier than 2 January 2000 and not later than 1 January 2006 (both dates inclusive).
Marital Status
Only unmarried male and unmarried female law graduates are eligible to apply.

Selection Process
Selection will be conducted through the following stages:

Training
Selected candidates will undergo 49 weeks of pre-commission training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, commencing in April 2027.
Stipend During Training
Officer Cadets will receive a stipend of ₹56,100 per month during the training period.
Rank and Pay After Commissioning
Successful candidates will be commissioned in the rank of Lieutenant.
- Pay Level 10
- Pay Scale: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
- Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month
- Approximate Annual CTC: ₹17–18 lakh (as indicated in the notification highlights).
Tenure of Commission
- Short Service Commission for 10 years.
- Extendable by 4 years (maximum 14 years).
- Eligible officers may be considered for Permanent Commission after completion of 10 years, subject to applicable policies and eligibility.
