Ikigai Law has become an equity partnership, promoting its director of public policy, Nehaa Chaudhari, to equity partner, while also promoting Aparajita Srivastava to non-equity partner level.
Chaudhari, a 2013 Nalsar Hyderabad graduate, had been promoted to director in December 2019 after having joined the firm in November 2017 (in its previous avatar), before which she had primarily worked in legal academia in India and abroad (see full bio below).
She specialises in advising on technology laws and policy, and would “focus on expanding our digital tech policy practice in India and other jurisdictions” according to the firm.
Founder and until-now sole equity partner, Anirudh Rastogi, said that for the firm’s new shared equity partnership, they were “putting finishing touches to a lockstep structure”.
Ikigai has also promoted principal associate and regulatory lead Aparajita Srivastava to salaried partner.
She is a 2010 Symbiosis Law School graduate, and leads the firm’s tech-regulatory practice.
After the promotions,
The firm has also promoted Arpit Gupta to senior associate level.
