
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Promotes Vinay Bhagawan in Legal & CSR Role
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles has promoted Vinay Bhagawan to the role of Associate Vice President – Legal, Compliance, External Affairs & Corporate Social Responsibility.
Sharing the update, Vinay Bhagawan said,
“I’m pleased to share that I have been promoted to the role of Associate Vice President – Legal, Compliance, External Affairs & Corporate Social Responsibility at Daimler India Commercial Vehicles.”
“It has now been over a month since I assumed this responsibility, and the journey so far has already been both enriching and energizing. In this expanded role, I now have the privilege of leading the Legal & Compliance function across India, Indonesia and South East Asia, supporting the legal entities and businesses across the region.”
He further highlighted the growing strategic importance of legal, compliance, external affairs and CSR functions in enabling responsible growth, strengthening stakeholder trust, supporting regulatory engagement, and driving meaningful social impact across the automotive and commercial vehicle industry.
Vinay Bhagawan expressed gratitude to the leadership teams at Daimler India Commercial Vehicles and Daimler Truck AG for their trust and confidence. He also thanked his colleagues, mentors, teams and stakeholders across regions for their continued support and collaboration.
Vinay Bhagawan has close to 19 years of experience in the legal and automotive industry sectors. Prior to this elevation, he served as Head of Legal, Compliance and CSR at Daimler India Commercial Vehicles. Before joining the organization, he worked with Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Toyota Motor Asia Pacific, High Court of Karnataka and Singhania and Partners LLP.
He holds a B.A.L., LL.B degree from University of Mysore – JSS Law College and a PG Diploma in Business and Corporate Laws from Symbiosis International University.
