Call for Submissions: Brands at the Edge of Intelligence: Trademarks, Technology, and Trust in the AI Economy
The DPIIT–IPR Chair, National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, invites original and unpublished research contributions examining the evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence, trademarks, technology, brands, and consumer trust.
Artificial Intelligence is transforming how brands are created, represented, promoted, monitored, protected, and enforced. Generative AI, synthetic media, algorithmic systems, digital platforms, and emerging technologies create new opportunities while challenging established assumptions within trademark and intellectual property law.
The Scope
The Call welcomes doctrinal, comparative, interdisciplinary, empirical, policy-oriented, and practice-based research on generative AI and trademark law; online brand enforcement; counterfeiting; deepfakes; algorithmic recommendation; platform accountability; virtual goods; consumer confusion; cross-border remedies; and responsible brand governance.
Submissions should move beyond description, critically assess the adequacy of existing legal and regulatory frameworks, identify emerging gaps and challenges, and develop practical recommendations for brand owners, legal advisers, courts, regulators, digital platforms, and technology developers.
Who May Submit?
Academicians, researchers, legal practitioners, policy professionals, technology and industry professionals, doctoral scholars, and other interested researchers working on relevant aspects of intellectual property, technology, brands, and emerging legal and policy issues. Interdisciplinary contributions are particularly encouraged.

The full paper should make an original and substantive contribution to the understanding of trademarks, technology, and trust in the AI economy.
Papers should not be limited to a descriptive discussion or conventional literature review. Authors are expected to identify a specific research problem, critically analyse the applicable legal and regulatory framework, and develop an independent and well-supported argument.
