About the Journal on Corporate Law & Governance
The Journal on Corporate Law & Governance (“JCLG”) is a research hub under the rubrics of National Law University, Jodhpur, dedicated to research and development of governance standards for the corporate world.
The Journal commenced its annual publication in 2008 to promote holistic research in areas falling within the broad ambit of corporate law. It provides a forum for critical research on contemporary corporate law issues from both academic and industry perspectives.
JCLG is a peer-reviewed journal bearing ISSN 0976-0369 and is indexed on HeinOnline, SCC Online and Manupatra.
About Volume IX, Issue 2
The Journal on Corporate Law & Governance, published under the aegis of National Law University, Jodhpur, seeks to foster rigorous and contemporary scholarship on developments within the broad field of corporate law and governance.
It provides a platform for legal practitioners, academicians, researchers and students to critically examine emerging issues affecting the corporate and commercial landscape while encouraging research that contributes to legal, regulatory and policy discourse.
For Volume IX, Issue 2, the Editorial Board invites original submissions addressing contemporary developments across the diverse and evolving dimensions of corporate law and governance.
Submissions may engage with areas including Corporate Law and Corporate Governance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities and Capital Markets, Banking and Finance, Insolvency and Bankruptcy, Competition Law, Foreign Investment, Investment Funds, Environmental, Social and Governance frameworks, Technology and Corporate Regulation, Data Protection and Privacy in Corporate Transactions, Intellectual Property, Labour and Employment, Taxation, Dispute Resolution and related regulatory developments.
The Editorial Board particularly welcomes submissions examining recent legislative and regulatory developments, judicial decisions, institutional practices and emerging challenges in the corporate and commercial sphere.
Contributions adopting an interdisciplinary, comparative or policy-oriented approach, as well as those offering concrete recommendations for strengthening India’s corporate and regulatory framework, are especially encouraged.

The list of sub-themes is merely suggestive and non-exhaustive. Authors may submit manuscripts on other relevant and contemporary topics falling within the broad mandate of the Journal.
Categories of Submissions
Authors may contribute to the Journal in the following forms:
- Articles: More than 4,500 words, inclusive of footnotes.
- Notes, Comments & Case Analysis: Between 2,500 and 4,500 words, inclusive of footnotes.
Submission Guidelines
- All submissions must contain an abstract of not more than 300 words explaining the main idea, objective of the article and conclusions drawn from it.
- The manuscript must be prepared on A4-sized paper.
- The manuscript must use Garamond font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
- The text must be justified with 1-inch margins on each side.
- Footnotes must be in Garamond, font size 10, with single line spacing.
- Authors must conform to the Bluebook (20th Edition) Uniform System of Citation.
- The manuscript must not contain any identification of the author(s). Identification of authors in the manuscript shall be a ground for rejection.
- Authors must provide their contact details, designation, institutional affiliation and address in the covering letter.
- The submission must be the original work of the authors. Any form of plagiarism will lead to direct rejection.
- Relevant sources must be duly acknowledged through footnotes. The decision of the Editorial Board in this regard shall be final.

Authors are required to send an electronic version of their manuscript in .doc or .docx format to:

The document must be named in the following format:
“[Name of Author(s)] – [Title of Submission].”
The email must also contain a covering letter providing the authors’ contact details, designation, institutional affiliation and address.
Editorial Policy
The Journal follows a three-stage blind peer review process:
- Stage 1: Preliminary review for relevance, contemporariness, plagiarism, grammar and formatting.
- Stage 2: Assessment by Associate Editors based on quality, originality, structure, clarity, language and references.
- Stage 3: Detailed evaluation by Senior Content Editors.
Acceptance is conditional upon satisfactory incorporation of editorial suggestions. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject submissions until final acceptance is communicated.
Simultaneous submissions are not permitted. Authors must withdraw submissions from other platforms upon acceptance.
JCLG follows an open-access policy, and all published articles are freely accessible from the date of publication.
