School of Law, Bennett University is inviting submissions for its International Conference on “Constitutionalism and Sustainable Development Goals: Ensuring Governance & Rule of Law in India’s Transformative Journey”, scheduled to be held from 21–23 November 2026 in Hybrid Mode at Bennett University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

About the Event

The Centre for Constitutional Law and Human Rights (CCLHR), School of Law, Bennett University, is organising this International Conference as part of Constitution Week 2026.

The conference seeks to examine the evolving relationship between constitutional governance and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for academicians, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers and students to deliberate upon constitutional values, sustainable development, environmental governance, human rights and public policy in contemporary India.

Themes

Original and unpublished research papers are invited on themes including, but not limited to:

  • Sustainable Development Goals: Interface of Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles and Fundamental Duties
  • Environmental Constitutionalism and Climate Justice
  • Renewable Energy and Constitutional Mandates of Resource Distribution
  • Energy Security vis-à-vis National Security
  • Centre–State Roles in Environmental and Energy Governance
  • Public Trust Doctrine and Intergenerational Equity
  • Socio-Economic Rights and Sustainable Development
  • Disaster Management and Climate Resilience
  • Corporate Social Responsibility and ESG Norms
  • Policy Accountability and Sustainable Development Governance
  • Role of Judiciary in the Realisation of Sustainable Development Goals

Allied and incidental themes are also welcome.

Submission and Registration Procedure

  • Extended abstracts must be 1000–1200 words.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format.

  • Every abstract must include a cover page containing name(s) of author(s), designation, institutional affiliation, email ID and contact number.
  • A maximum of five keywords must accompany the abstract.
  • Citation Style: Bluebook, 21st Edition.
  • A similarity index of up to 10% is permissible.
  • Plagiarism and the use of AI-generated content are strictly prohibited.
  • Full papers must be 5000–8000 words.
  • Full papers will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
  • Selected papers will be published in an ISBN Book.
  • Registration fees are payable only after acceptance of the abstract.
