
Chanakya Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CCADR), Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna, invites abstracts for Volume I of the CCADR Journal for Alternate Dispute Resolution on the theme “Navigating the Expanding Role of Mediation and Arbitration in Dispute Resolution”. Academicians, legal practitioners, research scholars and students may submit their abstracts by October 15, 2026.

Chanakya National Law University is a public law school and a National Law University in Patna, Bihar, India. It was established in 2006 by the Government of Bihar as a public university dedicated to the field of legal education.
About the Journal
CCADR has invited abstract submissions for Volume I of the CCADR Journal for Alternate Dispute Resolution. The Journal seeks scholarly contributions dealing with contemporary developments in mediation and arbitration and aims to foster insightful discussions on the expanding role of alternative dispute resolution.

Submission Categories
The Centre seeks final manuscripts under the following categories:
- Long Articles: 6,000–8,000 words
- Short Articles: 3,000–6,000 words
- Case Comments/Book Reviews: 1,500–2,000 words, exclusive of footnotes
Abstract Submission Guidelines
- The abstract must be between 250 and 500 words.
- The abstract must be accompanied by five keywords.
- Each manuscript may have a maximum of two authors.
- Co-authorship beyond two authors is not permitted.
- Authors whose abstracts are selected will be invited to submit the full paper/final manuscript.
- The final manuscript will be accepted for consideration only if the corresponding abstract has been selected.
Manuscript Guidelines
The final manuscript must conform to the Bluebook 21st Edition. The manuscript must not contain the author’s name, affiliation or credentials. These details must be provided on a separate cover page containing a brief biographical description of the author along with the author’s name, affiliation, qualifications and contact details.
The manuscript must be submitted as a Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) document.
Formatting Guidelines
- The manuscript must be in English.
- The main body must use Times New Roman, font size 12, justified alignment and 1.15 line spacing.
- Footnotes must use Times New Roman, font size 10, left alignment and 1.15 line spacing.
- The page size must be A4 with margins of 2.54 cm on all sides.
- Page numbers must appear at the bottom centre in Times New Roman, font size 11.
- Primary headings must use Roman numerals, secondary headings capital letters and tertiary headings lower-case Roman numerals.
- All hyperlinks and citations must be functional and verified at the time of submission.
Editorial and Review Process
CCADR follows a comprehensive double-blind review procedure. Manuscripts undergo a three-tiered editorial review process comprising preliminary review, blind editorial review and blind external review.
The preliminary review examines compliance with submission and formatting requirements, including word count, plagiarism and AI usage limits. At the blind editorial review stage, the Editors assess originality, structure, substantive quality, citations and language. Shortlisted manuscripts are subsequently forwarded to external reviewer(s) with relevant expertise.
The acceptable plagiarism limit is 15% excluding citations, while the acceptable AI usage limit is 10%. The Editorial Board retains discretion in accordance with the Journal’s editorial policy.

- Notification of Abstract Acceptance: October 25, 2026
- Last Date for Final Manuscript Submission: November 30, 2026
- Tentative Publication: March 2027
The proposed publication date is tentative and may be subject to change depending on the publishing schedule of the publishing house.
