Asian Paints Appoints Vinita Korti Patil as General Counsel
Asian Paints has appointed Vinita Korti Patil as General Counsel (Associate Vice President – Legal), strengthening its legal leadership team.
A 2005 alumna of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Vinita brings nearly two decades of experience across the pharma, chemicals, manufacturing, and FMCG sectors. Her expertise spans corporate-commercial advisory, mergers and acquisitions, ethics, business integrity, compliance, and governance matters.
Prior to joining Asian Paints, she was associated with Unilever as Head of Legal – Beauty & Wellbeing, South Asia and LLPL at Hindustan Unilever Limited. During her tenure, she was also appointed Data Privacy Officer and served as Non-Executive Director on the boards of Uprising Science Pvt. Ltd. (Minimalist), Zywie Ventures Private Ltd. (Oziva), and Zenherb Labs Pvt. Ltd..
Earlier, she spent over four years at Sanofi in senior legal leadership roles, including Senior Legal Director, MCO and Senior Legal Director, South Asia, where she led legal functions across India and multiple South Asian and Southeast Asian markets. She was also part of key governance committees and DE&I initiatives.
Before that, she served as Senior General Manager – Legal and Legal Head – Global Operations & Supply Chain at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. She also held the role of Senior Commercial Counsel at Huntsman Corporation, where she established and managed the legal department for the company in India.
Vinita Korti Patil began her legal career in private practice, working at Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co on M&A, private equity, and corporate matters, and earlier at Remfry & Sagar advising on trademark oppositions, copyright, and related litigation matters.
Additionally, Vinita Korti Patil has also been associated with Legal Era’s industry platforms and recognitions. She was part of the core legal team of 🔗Hindustan Unilever Limited that received the prestigious “FMCG Legal Team of the Year” award at the 13th Annual Legal Era – Indian Legal Awards 2024, held at Taj Palace, New Delhi.
