Appeal filed in Allahabad HC against acquittals in Babri Masjid case

An appeal has been recently filed by Haji Mahboob and Haji Sayyad Akhlaq Ahmad, which questioned the acquittal of all the perpetrators in the Babri Masjid case. The petition was filed before the Allahabad High Court on behalf of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board. This appeal goes against the special court ruling, made by the CBI that acquitted 32 people including BJP veterans LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. The plea stated that even with ample evidence, the judge carried out a verdict in favor of the perpetrators. The case was presided over by now-retired special Judge S K Yadav. Many of the evidence that was presented before the court, like newspaper articles and video cassettes were not accepted. This was due to the newspapers not being original and the videos not clear. So, Justice Yadav acquitted all 32 people saying there was no proof of a criminal conspiracy to demolish the mosque.
