About the Faculty Development Programme
The Indian Society of International Law (ISIL) is organising a 7-Day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) from 03 August to 09 August 2026.
Recent armed conflicts have claimed the lives of thousands of civilians and military personnel across the world. Several States are also witnessing extreme levels of violence in internal conflicts, leading to large-scale destruction of infrastructure, the natural environment, and religious and cultural property. The increasing use of Artificial Intelligence in military decision-making, weaponisation of space, cyber warfare, prohibited weapons, and attacks on humanitarian workers has made International Humanitarian Law (IHL) more relevant than ever.
This Faculty Development Programme aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of International Humanitarian Law and its contemporary challenges through expert-led sessions.
