
John Cockerill Appoints Mandar Nalawade As Legal Counsel
John Cockerill has appointed Mandar Nalawade as Legal Counsel (DGM Legal), marking a significant addition to its legal leadership team in India.
Announcing his new role, Mandar Nalawade shared:

Mandar Nalawade brings over 15 years of extensive in-house legal experience across litigation strategy, crisis management, brand protection and enforcement, commercial contracting, compliance governance, and regulatory advisory. He has managed high-stakes civil, criminal, commercial, and consumer disputes while supporting multinational business operations through risk mitigation and strategic legal guidance.
Prior to joining John Cockerill, Mandar was associated with Schindler India for more than 11 years, most recently serving as Deputy General Manager – Legal. During his tenure, he handled litigation, arbitration, consumer law, credit recovery, legal compliance, and commercial advisory matters across business functions.
Earlier in his career, he worked with National Stock Exchange of India Limited as Assistant Manager – Regulatory Compliance.
Mandar Nalawade holds an LL.B. from K.C. Law College, a B.Sc. in Mathematics from R.J. College, an MBA in Finance from Mumbai University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights Law from National Law School of India University.
