The India’s leading full-service law firm, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised the Buyer Consortium on the acquisition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals, for approximately USD 1.6 billion. The Firm also advised Adar Poonawalla on the formation of the Buyer Consortium along with the Mittal family.

The Mauritius-based holding company being acquired currently holds interests in three professional cricket franchises: Rajasthan Royals (IPL, India), Paarl Royals (SA20, South Africa) and Barbados Royals (CPL, Caribbean).
