
Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas advised ONGC on strategic infrastructure sharing arrangement with Reliance Industries
The leading law firm in India, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) advised Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) on the structuring and documentation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the nature of a master infrastructure sharing agreement with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), New Delhi, India. The arrangement relates to the sharing and joint utilisation of deepwater upstream infrastructure and operational resources along India’s East Coast, particularly in the Krishna Godavari (KG) Basin and Andaman offshore regions.
The framework represents a first-of-its-kind large-scale offshore infrastructure sharing collaboration between ONGC and RIL, aimed at optimising infrastructure deployment and accelerating field development timelines. The completion of the arrangement is subject to customary approvals and final documentation.
