Amity Law School, Gurugram is part of Amity University Haryana, established in 2010. It offers integrated undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in law approved by the Bar Council of India.
About the Competition
Amity Law School is organising the 8th ALS Moot Court Competition, 2026 from October 30 to November 1, 2026. The competition will comprise Preliminary Rounds followed by Quarter-Final, Semi-Final and Final Rounds. A Researchers’ Test will also be conducted as part of the competition.
Eligibility
Each participating team may comprise two (2) or three (3) students pursuing a three-year or five-year LL.B. degree course or its equivalent during the Academic Year 2026–2027 from institutions across India.
- In a team of two members, both members shall be designated as Speakers, and either one shall also be designated as the Researcher.
- In a team of three members, two members shall be designated as Speakers and the third member as the Researcher.
- No additional member or team mentor shall be allowed to accompany the team.
The official language of the competition is English.
Registration Procedure
- Institutions are required to provisionally register themselves by filling out the prescribed Google Form on or before September 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM IST.
- Upon filling out the Google Form, provisionally registered teams will receive the payment details at the email address submitted in the Google Form.
- Payment shall be completed within the timeline communicated by the organisers through email. Teams are required to pay the registration fee only after receiving a confirmation email.
- Registration shall be completed upon submission of the soft copy of the Registration Form attached to the brochure to [email protected].
- Institutions are also required to send a screenshot of the completed payment transaction along with the soft copy of the Registration Form to the above-mentioned email address.
Registration Fee
The registration fee for the competition is ₹6,500 excluding GST.
The registration fee includes food, accommodation and transportation. The registration fee once paid is non-refundable.
Accommodation, Food and Transportation
Accommodation shall be provided to all participating teams on the University campus from the evening of October 29, 2026 to the morning of November 2, 2026.
Teams intending to arrive before or leave after the specified dates are required to inform the Organising Committee in advance.
Food shall be provided to all teams for the above-mentioned period.
Transportation to and from the venue from I.G.I. Airport or the nearest metro station shall also be provided to participating teams for arrival and departure.
Memorial Submission
- Each team shall prepare memorials from the side of both the Petitioner and Respondent.
- The soft copies of both memorials in MS Word (.doc/.docx) and PDF format must be emailed to [email protected] by October 24, 2026, at 11:59 PM IST.
- The subject of the email must be “Memorials – Team Code”.
- The file names of the electronic copies must contain only the Team Code and the side being represented. For example, for Team Code 10, the files should be named 10P for the Petitioner Memorial and 10R for the Respondent Memorial.
- Each team shall also bring six (6) hard copies of the memorial on October 30, 2026. The hard copies must be identical to the soft copies.
- The memorial must not have more than 10% plagiarism. The Rule Book further states that the use of AI in the memorial is strictly prohibited.
Clarifications
Clarifications and doubts relating to the moot proposition will only be entertained through emails sent to [email protected] until October 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM IST.
Competition Rounds
- In the Preliminary Oral Rounds, each team shall argue twice—once as the Petitioner and once as the Respondent.
- The top eight teams, determined in accordance with the win-loss ratio and scores in the Preliminary Rounds, shall qualify for the Quarter-Final Rounds.
- The Quarter-Final, Semi-Final and Final Rounds shall be conducted as knock-out rounds.
Researchers’ Test
- The Researchers’ Test shall be conducted on October 30, 2026.
- Only the Researcher indicated in the Team Registration shall take the Researchers’ Test. A Speaker may take the Researchers’ Test where the team comprises only two Speakers.

- Runners-up: ₹30,000
- Best Memorial: ₹10,000
- Best Mooter: ₹10,000
- Best Researcher: ₹8,000
- Best Draftsman: ₹7,000

How to Register?
Interested institutions must complete the provisional registration through the Google Form on or before September 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM IST.
Upon submission of the Google Form, provisionally registered teams will receive payment details at the email address provided in the form.
After making the payment, institutions are required to submit the soft copy of the Registration Form attached to the brochure along with a screenshot of the completed payment transaction to [email protected].
