
Kerala Law Academy Law College (KLA), Thiruvananthapuram, in association with the Moot Court Society (MCS) and IQAC KLA, is inviting law students across India to participate in the 7th Kerala Law Academy National ADR Competition, 2026. The competition will be conducted in hybrid mode, with virtual rounds on September 18–19, 2026 and the final round on October 9, 2026 at the KLA campus in Thiruvananthapuram.
About Kerala Law Academy Law College
Kerala Law Academy Law College (KLA), established in 1966, is a legal education institution located in Thiruvananthapuram. The institution is affiliated with the University of Kerala and approved by the Bar Council of India.
Over the years, KLA has contributed to legal education and scholarship and has produced advocates, judicial officers, academics, public administrators and policy professionals.
About the Competition
The 7th Kerala Law Academy National ADR Competition, 2026 is being organised by Kerala Law Academy Law College in association with its Moot Court Society (MCS) and IQAC KLA.
The national-level competition is designed to develop practical skills in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), negotiation, conciliation, mediation and arbitration. Participants will deal with hypothetical legal problems intended to test their strategies and understanding of different dispute resolution mechanisms.
The competition consists of three stages:
- Conciliation: Preliminary Round
- Mediation: Semi-Final Round
- International Arbitration: Final Round
Eligibility
- The competition is open to students from law colleges, law schools and university departments in India recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
- Students enrolled in a 3-year LL.B. programme or a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme are eligible to participate.
- Students pursuing post-graduation in law or correspondence courses are not eligible.
- Multiple teams from the same institution are permitted, subject to official authorisation or permission from the institution.
Team Composition
Each team shall consist of 3 members:
- 2 Party Members – Claimant/Complainant and Respondent
- 1 Rapporteur
Competition Structure and Mode
The competition will be conducted in Hybrid Mode.
- Preliminary Round: September 18, 2026 – Virtual via Zoom
- Semi-Final Round: September 19, 2026 – Virtual via Zoom
- Final Round: October 9, 2026 – In-person at V. R. Krishna Iyer Hall, KLA Campus, Thiruvananthapuram

- Best Team: Cash Prize of ₹20,000
- Second Best Team: Certificate of Honour
- Best Rapporteur: Certificate of Honour
- Participation Certificates: Awarded to every participant

Registration Fee
The registration fee for the competition is ₹3,250 per team.
