
Kerala Law Academy Moot Court Society (KLA MCS) and IQAC, Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram are organising the 26th Kerala Law Academy National Client Consulting Competition 2026 in a hybrid format. The competition will be held virtually on October 6, 2026, followed by offline advanced rounds from November 12–14, 2026. Interested teams must complete provisional registration by September 15, 2026.

About the Competition
The Kerala Law Academy Moot Court Society (KLA MCS) and IQAC, Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram are organising the 26th Kerala Law Academy National Client Consulting Competition 2026 for the prestigious Justice P. Govinda Menon Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy.
The competition aims to promote greater knowledge and interest among law students in practical laws and the consulting functions of legal practice. It seeks to develop participants’ interviewing, planning and analytical skills in the context of lawyer-client relationships.
The competition will follow a two-stage hybrid format. The Virtual Preliminary Round will be conducted in October 2026, while teams qualifying from the preliminary stage will participate in the Offline Advanced Rounds at the Kerala Law Academy campus in November 2026.
Eligibility
- The competition is open to all law colleges, law schools and university departments in India recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
- Students currently pursuing a 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. programme are eligible to participate.
- Students pursuing LL.M. programmes or correspondence courses are not eligible.
- Multiple teams from the same institution are permitted, subject to obtaining explicit written permission, such as an authorisation letter from the Principal or Dean.
Team Composition
Each team must consist of exactly two students, who will participate as co-counsels.
Solo participation is not permitted.

- Participation Certificates: E-Certificates will be awarded to all preliminary-round participants, while physical certificates will be provided to participants attending the offline rounds.

Registration Fee
Stage 1 – Preliminary Round: The registration fee for the preliminary round is ₹3,000 per team and is non-refundable.
Stage 2 – Selected Offline Teams:
- ₹2,500 per team without accommodation; or
- ₹3,000 per team with AC Dormitory accommodation.
Registration Process
For provisional registration, participating teams must email their team details to [email protected] on or before September 15, 2026.
For final registration, teams must submit the prescribed online registration form along with payment confirmation on or before September 28, 2026.
