Pinsent Masons advised IFC on investment in TWM Group, Papua New Guinea

The global law firm Pinsent Masons advised the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on its investment in TWM Group, Papua New Guinea’s leading waste management company, to develop the country’s first integrated waste facility meeting international standards.

The financing, structured as a PNG kina-denominated fixed-rate loan and supported by the World Bank’s IDA Private Sector Window, will enable TWM to develop and upgrade the facility to reduce unmanaged waste and safeguard public health.

The Pinsent Masons team advising on the transaction was led by James Harris (Partner, Singapore) and Wei (Olivia) Wang (Senior Associate, Beijing), with support from Logan Pua (Associate) and Yuhan (Elle) Liu (Trainee Lawyer).
