Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS/PSOS) cannot be named as impotency, the Madras High Court recently stated. The marital discourse in connection with which the High Court was spoken to led Justice V Bhavani Subbaroyan to comment that the current generation is very casual in terms of marriage and maintaining relationships. The case before the Court was coupled to a marital case where the PCOS condition of the wife was upraised as an element for weary relations. Labeling certain misunderstandings adjoining the condition, Justice Subbaroyan marked that the issue of PSOS is usually inducing in the current generation of women for various habits as mental pressure and to a very large extent, the adulterated habitat in which we live is also one of the elements for those women who develop PSOS. The term PSOS cannot be termed as ‘impotency’ all by itself. The Judge also marked that divorce, breaking up and separation are just a mere thing for the present generation who eventually end up for unimaginable trivial causes.
