Paul Hastings advised Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V., the state-owned integrated energy company of the Republic of Suriname, on its US$1.6 billion financing to fund, among other things, its 20% participating interest in the development of the first commercial offshore oil field in Suriname.

This landmark financing marks a critical step in advancing Suriname’s position in global energy markets and supports the development of a transformative energy infrastructure project.
