Notice Issued by SC on Deepika Kishen’s Suicide Case

Notice Issued by SC on Deepika Kishen

On Saturday, The Supreme Court issued a notice in a case that was filed by Md. Khalil who sought the transfer of Deepika Kishen™s investigation on the suicide case to the Central Bureau of Investigation as the plaintiff claims that the case is not being investigated in an impartial and just manner by the Andaman and Nicobar Police Force.

According to the already ongoing investigation, the deceased woman had been in a relationship with one of Andaman and Nicobar™s Sub Inspector and in addition to that, the Sub Inspector was also at the same time in a relationship with another woman.

Before Deepika committed suicide, she had recorded a video and this same video was put up on the internet. In the video, Deepika had narrated her entire history and put direct blame on the police officials and respective connected people responsible.

The petitioner had also highlighted that the police officials have been trying to make only the sub-inspector the scapegoat so that the other senior police officials that were named by the deceased in her last video are saved.
