
Link Legal launches New York office
The firm intends to play a significant role in supporting the growth of India-US trade and business ties
One of India’s leading full-service law firms, Link Legal has opened an office Link Legal US in New York, United States.
To lead this expansion, the firm has appointed experienced attorneys Ananda Chaudhuri and Nitin Kaushik as partners. While Chaudhuri will be the managing partner of the US office, Srivastava, a senior partner, will support the US operations along with being a part of the India management team.
The firm will serve the needs of the US and Indian clients to provide strategic, innovative and cost-effective solutions to legal and transactional issues arising in the States, consistent with Link Legal’s global standards of excellence.
It will deliver legal services across various practice areas including litigation and arbitration, intellectual property rights, immigration laws, commercial contracts, employment contracts, and transactional works.
In a statement, the firm said, “The opening of the US office of Link Legal is a manifestation of the ambition to grow and service all its clients in different jurisdictions with the knowledge of local laws. It will go a long way in supporting the US as well as Indian clients, having operations in the United States. The new opportunities will also take the firm to the next level of providing wholesome advice to its clients.”

He has almost two decades of experience representing employees, investors, and entrepreneurs in high-value disputes in the US. In addition, he has expertise in litigating novel issues of corporate governance laws. He has successfully represented investors and entrepreneurs in battles for corporate control.
Chaudhuri has been with the firm since its inception and played a pivotal role in its growth as an equity partner. Dual qualified to practice in India and the US; he did his LL.M. from Columbia Law School, New York. He was recognized as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and was awarded the Edwin Parker Certificate for International Law.
On the other hand, Kaushik has over 18 years of experience in practicing US laws. He engages in matters relating to corporate advisory, commercial documentation and intellectual property rights, which includes prosecution of trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
