Khaitan & Co advised consortium on acquisition of Royal Challengers Sport Private Limited
The leading law firm in India, Khaitan & Co advised a consortium comprising Aditya Birla Group, Times of India Group, Bolt Ventures and Blackstone on the acquisition of Royal Challengers Sport Private Limited from United Spirits Limited for approximately USD 1.8 billion. The transaction involves the acquisition of both franchise teams of the Indian Premier League and the Women’s Premier League.
Khaitan & Coadvised and assisted the clients on structuring, finalisation of transaction documents, and legal due diligence.
