
Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas has hired Bhoumick Vaidya, partner at Mumbai solicitors firm Kanga & Co, in as a partner with his team of five.
He specialises in real estate and general corporate work and will be joining SAM’s Mumbai office around 19 October.
“I am delighted to be joining Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co and look forward to contributing to the success and growth of the firm,” commented Vaidya about his move.
He is joining with his team, consisting of associates Sanchi Bansal, Vidhi Maniar, Sona Phogaat, Asmita Hegde and Nishi Bharatiya.
Vaidya, who is a 2007 GLC Mumbai graduate, had secured his Bombay solicitor’s qualification in 2009 at Wadia Ghandy and qualified as an English solicitor the same year, before joining Amarchand Mangaldas for a year in 2010 as an associate and moving to Kanga in 2011, where his father, Shailesh Vaidya, is also a long-time partner.
“I am grateful for the opportunities and expertise I received at Kanga and Co and as I move on to the next phase of my career, my sincere thanks and best wishes to the firm and all my colleagues at the firm,” he commented.
