Indian Law Firm AKS Partners Joins Dubai’s Growing Legal Landscape

AKS Partners, a specialised disputes-focused Delhi- headquartered boutique, has expanded its presence in Asia by inaugurating a new office in Dubai. This move marks the establishment of the fifth Indian law firm to venture into the Middle East finance hub in the current year.

AKS Partners cited Dubai’s stature as a global arbitration hub and its progressive technology policies as the driving factors behind the firm’s decision to establish a presence in the United Arab Emirates.

According to managing partner Sonal Kumar Singh, AKS Partners’ expertise in arbitration and dispute resolution, in particular, is expected to be in high demand in Dubai, which is fast becoming a leading centre for international dispute resolution.

The firm had recently represented two large conglomerates in LCIA Arbitration Proceedings in London, worth multi-million USD in disputes. We think the time is right for us to leverage our experience in this area. We are well-positioned to serve the needs of the region’s burgeoning demands in various sectors,” Sonal Kumar Singh said in a statement.

Dubai’s advantageous corporate tax policies, particularly favourable for technology enterprises, in conjunction with the relaxation of its foreign investment regulations, have drawn numerous Indian businesses to the financial hub. This trend has, in turn, prompted law firms to follow suit.

This year, Indian law firms Singularity Legal, Goswami & Nigam, Vidhisastras Advocates & Solicitors, and Parin Legal have each inaugurated offices in Dubai.
