Habib Al Mulla and Partners Establishes New Delhi Office to Support UAE–India Business Relations
The UAE-based law firm Habib Al Mulla and Partners has officially inaugurated its India-focused consultancy services in New Delhi, marking a strategic expansion of its global presence alongside offices in Turkey, Russia, Iraq, and Egypt.
The launch comes approximately six months after the firm announced its India plans in May 2025, reflecting a growing commitment to strengthening UAE–India economic and business ties.
Partner Alia Al Mulla credited the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the 2024 Bilateral Investment Treaty between the two nations as key drivers behind the move.
“We want to facilitate the relationship between our clients who have investments and businesses in India and any of the Indian clients who have business or trade in the UAE while working closely with Indian law firms.”
Emphasizing the office’s focus, she clarified that the New Delhi entity is not a law firm but a management consultancy offering advisory services on UAE and international law for cross-border clients.
“We have very good prospects because we already have transactions we have worked on and we know that this market is only going to get bigger. India is the second-largest investor in the UAE, so the work is already there. We are here at a good time to capture that.”
Siddhant Sharma will lead business development for the India consultancy and act as a bridge between the New Delhi and Dubai teams.
Habib Al Mulla and Partners has an established record of advising on cross-border commercial transactions, international trade, supply chain, arbitration, mergers and acquisitions, and joint venture matters involving Indian clients and Middle East-based entities.
