Freshfields Atrengthens MENA practice With Olivier Rogivue’s Relocation To Riyadh

Freshfields strengthens MENA practice with Olivier Rogivue’s relocation to Riyadh

Global law firm Freshfields has strengthened its regional presence with the relocation of Olivier Rogivue, a partner in the firm’s Global Transactions Group, from Paris to Riyadh.

Rogivue brings over 20 years of experience advising on cross-border M&A transactions, with expertise in the energy, chemicals, and construction sectors. His relocation marks a key milestone in the growth of Freshfields’ Middle East and North Africa (MENA) practice.

Commenting on the move, Sami Tannous, Regional Managing Partner at Freshfields, said,
Olivier’s move reflects the strategic importance and momentum of our business in the region. His deep sector knowledge, international perspective, and collaborative approach will be a tremendous asset to our clients and teams in the Kingdom and beyond. We are thrilled to welcome him to Riyadh.

Rogivue added,

“I am very much looking forward to joining our Riyadh office and being part of this dynamic and fast-growing region. It is an exciting time for our clients and our firm, and I am eager to contribute to the next phase of our growth in the KSA and, more generally, in MENA.”

In August, Freshfields announced the launch of a standalone office in Saudi Arabia and a strategic alliance with the Law Firm of Salah Al-Hejailan (LFSH), its long-standing associated firm in the Kingdom. The firms have maintained an association agreement since 2009 and will continue their collaboration under the new alliance.

Last year, Freshfields was granted a licence by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Justice to establish an office in the Kingdom.
