
Flipkart finalizes self-audit on dark patterns; matches CCPA norms
States that the completion declaration has been submitted to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs
The Flipkart Group has stated that it has finalized a self-audit on its digital platforms, to ensure ‘the highest standards of compliance, accountability’, aligning with Central Consumer Protection Authority guidelines and advisory on prevention and regulation of dark patterns.
The company voiced that the comprehensive audit declaration was submitted to Nidhi Khare, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs.
The group, which includes Flipkart, Myntra, Flipkart Wholesale, and Cleartrip, affirmed its commitment to ensuring that its customers were treated with fairness and transparency.
The online e-commerce company said, “The Flipkart Group has announced the completion of a comprehensive, independent self-audit on its digital platforms. The audit has been done to ensure the highest standards of compliance, accountability, and consumer protection with the Central Consumer Protection Authority Guidelines and the Advisory for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, 2023 and 2025.”
Flipkart highlighted its responsibility towards Indian consumers, and has been investing in robust policies, controls, ethical design practices, intense training and awareness programs, and transparent communication.

Kumar added that the online platform would continue to collaborate with the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and other stakeholders to strengthen consumer protection.
