Mr. Aditya Dhar filed a suit seeking injunctive and other reliefs against the Defendants in relation to various defamatory, false, and derogatory remarks made by Defendant No. 1 (Santosh Kumar) during a recorded press meet (“said Press Meet”), which were published by Defendant No. 2 on the social media platform ‘YouTube’.

Interim Relief Granted
During the urgent hearing before Justice Mr. Arif S. Doctor, the Plaintiff’s Counsel took the Hon’ble Court through the transcript of the said Press Meet and pointed out the parts which were defamatory to the Plaintiff’s reputation, such as allegations of stealing and theft and other related statements made by Defendant No. 1 equating the alleged act of stealing with murder. The Hon’ble Court, having gone through the transcript and the facts of the matter, was pleased to restrain Defendant No. 1 from calling the Plaintiff a thief (‘chor’) or making allegations of a similar nature, including that of theft, until the next date of hearing.
