
About CLAT 2026
TheCommon Law Admission Test (CLAT Entrance Exam 2026) is a national-level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 25 National Law Universities around the country. CLAT is organised by the Consortium of National Law Universities, consisting of representative universities.
About Consortium
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) was established on 19th August 2017 to enhance the quality of legal education in India and strengthen the justice delivery system through legal learning. It aims to promote better coordination among National Law Universities to achieve the highest standards of legal education across the country. Presently, twenty-five NLUs are members of the Consortium.
The serving President is Prof. (Dr.) S. Shanthakumar, Director of Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar, and the Vice-President is Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey, Vice-Chancellor of Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Mumbai.

CLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
For UG Programme:
There is no upper age limit for appearing in CLAT 2026 (UG). Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with at least 45% marks (General/OBC) or 40% marks (SC/ST/PwD). Students appearing for their qualifying exam in March/April 2026 are also eligible, provided they produce proof of passing at the time of admission.
For PG Programme:
There is no upper age limit for CLAT 2026 (PG). Applicants must hold an LL.B. degree or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks (General/OBC) or 45% marks (SC/ST/PwD). Those appearing in their final LL.B. examination in March/April 2026 may also apply, subject to the submission of proof of qualification during admission.

Application Fee
The application fee for CLAT 2026 can be paid online only.
General/OBC Candidates: ₹4,000/-
SC/ST/BPL/PwD Candidates: ₹3,500/-
The fee is non-refundable, and candidates must ensure successful payment to complete their application process.

- Take online mocks available on Law Aspirants to simulate real exam conditions.
- Solve past-year CLAT papers to understand trends and question types.
- After every mock, analyse mistakes, identify weak areas, and revise those topics.
