About Law Centre II
Law Centre-II of University of Delhi is India’s one of top legal institutions imparting quality education to the students since the last 54 years. Law Centre-II made a modest beginning from the campus of ARSD College, Dhaula Kuan in 1971. It was shifted to its current location at Umang Bhawan, Chhatra Marg, University of Delhi in 2016. It serves a dynamic academic community of nearly 3,000 students at any given time. This building is fully airconditioned with all modern amenities.

The International Conference on “The Contemporary International Legal Order: Prospects for India” promises to become a pivotal platform for legal scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and students to engage in comprehensive discussions on India’s dynamic engagement with international law. As India continues to assert its influence on the global stage, this conference aims to explore the multifaceted challenges and opportunities that arise in aligning national legal frameworks with international legal obligations.
The conference aims to examine how India’s constitutional values, legal traditions, and diplomatic initiatives influence the international legal system. Looking ahead, it seeks to chart a strategic vision for enhancing India’s leadership, deepening legal cooperation, and fostering a more equitable and inclusive global legal order. This conference seeks to provide a platform for academicians, legal scholars, practitioners and policymakers, law researchers to engage in a critical examination of contemporary legal and global challenges.

The theme of the International Conference “The Contemporary International Legal Order: Prospects for India” focuses on India’s growing contribution to the evolution of international law and its proactive engagement with global legal institutions. It highlights India’s role in shaping discourse on critical issues such as human rights, environmental sustainability, global trade, and dispute resolution.

Important Dates
- Last date to submit Abstract of Research Paper: 30th September, 2025
- Notification of the acceptance of the Abstract for paper presentation: 5th October, 2025
- Last date of fee payment for participation/paper presentation: 30th October, 2025
- Submission of full working paper: 1st February, 2026
Submission Guidelines
- The paper should be based on original research work that has not been published yet.
- A maximum of two authors are allowed per paper.
- If any under-graduate/post-graduate student is desirous to participate and present a paper, then such participant shall have to mandatorily participate along with his/her teacher/research scholar of the institution as an author/co author.
- The author must submit an abstract of 350 words with five keywords.
- The abstract should clearly outline the title, research problem, methodology, and key arguments/conclusions.
- After the shortlisting of the abstract, the author has to submit a full paper of 6000-8000 words.
- The participant shall submit the abstract in given google link https://forms.gle/nYyYaez6sxjAxqdz7 ONLY. (Kindly do not send abstract through mail.) After acceptance of the abstract and payment of registration fees, the participants will receive a separate google link for submission of full working paper.
- The details provided during the registration process will be used for Certificate purposes. No request for change will be entertained later.
- The submissions should be in Times New Roman Font size 12, Line spacing 1.5, and Bluebook 21st edition citation style only.
- The cover page of the abstract and manuscript should include the name of the author/coauthor, affiliating institution, and contact details.
- The selected paper shall be peer-reviewed and evaluated based on the originality.
- Selected full papers after evaluation may be published in the National Capital Law Journal.
- Payment details will be communicated in due course of time to the participants after the abstracts have been shortlisted by the review committee.
- The organising committee may offer online participation/presentation to international participants ONLY.
- Accommodation may be provided at the request of the participant(s). Expenditure will be borne by the participant(s) only.
