
BTG Advaya Elevates Amit Kumar Baid As The Head Of Tax
BTG Advaya has announced the elevation of Amit Kumar Baid to the position of Head of Tax.
Having started his career with Ernst & Young, Amit later moved to Morgan Stanley’s India office for about 15 years where he led the tax team.
He has two decades of extensive experience in Indian tax laws and has been advising clients spanning across sectors on tax structuring, planning, compliance, litigation, and dispute resolution.
Amit covers cross border M&A (buy and sell side), inbound and outbound investment structuring, business restructuring, transfer pricing, bilateral APAs, tax litigation / representation, compliances, expat policies, employment structuring, and due diligence. His experience also includes working on unilateral and bilateral APAs, setting up of a domestic Infrastructure Fund and AIFs in GIFT City IFSC.
In addition to providing tax as a standalone service, Amit will be closely working with the various other practice groups, including corporate and disputes to provide a bundled tax offering.
Amit is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
