Breakaway Anoma now 13 after adding K Law partner Vishal Bhat for South India property + debt push

Start-up law firm Anoma Legal, which had peeled off from K Law just over two years ago with seven partners, has now grown to 13 partners with Vishal Bhat joining from their alma mater.

Bhat, who specialises in real estate and structured debt, will be working from both Mumbai and Bangalore (albeit of course virtually at the moment due to Covid), focussing on the South India region.

Bhat commented that his parting with K Law was amicable: “I am excited to be a part of a vibrant and growing firm and look forward to working with the team.”

Welcoming Bhat, Anoma commented: “His arrival further enhances the firm’s real estate and debt finance capabilities in South India.”

Anoma had promoted five to partner a year ago, becoming a 12-partner firm.

Meanwhile, in March, K Law had hired former Anoma lawyer Krishna Dipayan Dash.
