The international law firm, Bird & Bird has appointed Peter Koh as Senior Legal Consultant in its Riyadh office, strengthening its corporate practice in the Kingdom.Peter is based in the firm’s Riyadh office, joining partners Raya AlKhatib, Nick O’Connell, and Simon Shooter.
Peter Koh brings over 30 years of experience advising clients on cross-border transactions, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, financing, and commercial matters across Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. He has a strong focus on complex cross-border deals involving Asian investors, particularly in technology-driven and advanced manufacturing sectors.
His expertise also includes advising on Saudi Arabia’s evolving regulatory landscape, covering areas such as personal data protection, cybersecurity, e-commerce, financial services, and capital markets compliance. He has significant experience supporting international and Saudi-based clients on joint ventures, distributorship arrangements, service agreements, and market entry strategies, including investments involving Chinese and Korean companies and state-owned enterprises.
Prior to joining Bird & Bird, Peter worked with leading international law firms across Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, and Beijing, bringing a truly global perspective to his practice.
