The global law firm, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP), has further expanded its Antitrust, Competition & Trade practice with the addition of two partners – Alexis Early in Washington, D.C., and Christine Graham in London.

Alexis Early joins the firm as Partner in Washington, D.C., focusing her multinational, multisector practice on counseling clients on complex business challenges related to cross-border flow of goods, software, technology, funds, and investment capital. She regularly advises on economic sanctions, export controls, CFIUS, and other emerging areas of international trade law, and supports corporate teams on international trade considerations in deal planning, negotiation, and post-closing integration.

Alexis has advised clients in sectors such as information technology/telecom, financial services, energy and infrastructure, aerospace and defense, real estate, food and agriculture, and emerging technologies. Her expertise includes navigating multi-jurisdictional regulatory regimes, particularly in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. She also represents clients in enforcement proceedings before U.S. Treasury, Commerce, and State Departments and advocates on Capitol Hill.

Alexis said, “I am thrilled to bring my international trade practice to BCLP’s impressive global platform to serve clients facing complex cross-border investment, supply chain, and business questions in this rapidly evolving regulatory environment. I look forward to adding my Washington perspective to BCLP’s globally integrated practices to help solve our clients’ thorniest compliance, transactional, and investigations challenges.”

Lee Marshall, Global Department Leader – Litigation and Investigations, remarked, “Given the current state of international trade, bringing Alexis aboard meets a strategic priority for the firm in our pursuit of delivering top-tier advice on the front-page international trade, national security, and foreign policy trends, regulations, and enforcement priorities impacting our clients’ business priorities. Alexis’ practice also complements our transactional practice.”

Andrew Hockley, Global Practice Group Leader – Antitrust, Competition & Trade, added, “Alexis’ experience across international trade, sanctions, and cross-border transactions strengthens our practice. Her ability to guide clients through complex regulatory landscapes will be a key asset as we expand our global capabilities.”

In addition, Christine Graham has joined BCLP’s Antitrust, Competition & Trade practice in London. Christine advises clients on global mergers and FDI reviews and represents them before antitrust and foreign investment screening authorities. She is Vice-Chair of the ABA Antitrust Foreign Investment and National Security Committee and co-founder of the European Foreign Direct Investment Association, with sector expertise in technology and life sciences.

Christine Graham said, “I’m thrilled to be joining BCLP. The firm’s international platform and cross-border work aligns well with my experience and ambitions to grow my FDI and antitrust practice. I was drawn to BCLP’s collegial and collaborative culture as well as the quality of the team and client roster.”

Lee Marshall added, “Christine’s strong FDI and transactional experience complements our leading antitrust practice and will be a great asset to our clients.”

Andrew Hockley noted, “Christine’s arrival strengthens our Antitrust, Competition & Trade team at a pivotal time. She is a recognized thought leader in FDI regulation and brings great insights in tech and innovation antitrust.”

The arrivals of Alexis and Christine follow recent additions of Partners David Schwartz and Justin Kingsolver, reinforcing BCLP’s commitment to supporting clients in navigating complex regulatory and trade landscapes globally.
