Global law firm Ashurst has advised the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) on raising a US$100 million loan facility from Development Finance Institute Canada (DFIC) Inc., marking AFC’s official entry into the Canadian debt capital market and the start of a promising relationship with DFIC.
AFC and DFIC’s shared vision for impact financing across Africa underpins this collaboration, which is expected to support renewable energy and infrastructure projects in AFC’s pipeline.
The Ashurst team was led by Matthew Wood (Partner), supported by Tomilayo Fadoju (Associate), Guy Seymour (Associate), and trainee solicitors Millie McElroy and George Simmons.
