He is recognized as a leading practitioner in India across a wide spectrum

DSK Legal is elated that its Managing Partner, Anand Desai has been appointed as a member of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) for a five-year term.

On the appointment, Desai said, “This is a great honor. I am excited to serve as a member of the LCIA, and believe this appointment will provide me a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of an organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the world of dispute resolution.”

Desai founded DSK Legal in 2001. Having grown from seven to over 250 lawyers, it is considered one of the leading full-service law firms in India. It represents several large multinational and Indian corporates, business leaders, and celebrities in high-profile litigations, arbitrations, and transactions.

The LCIA is one of the world’s leading international institutions for commercial dispute resolution. It provides efficient, flexible, and impartial administration of arbitration and ADR proceedings, regardless of location and system of law.

The international nature of the LCIA’s services is reflected in the fact that over 80 percent of parties in pending LCIA cases are not of English nationality. Its dispute resolution services are available to all contracting parties, without membership requirements.

The LCIA constitutes 35 members, representatives of associated institutions, and former presidents. They are chosen to provide and maintain a balance of leading practitioners in commercial arbitration. The LCIA is the final authority for the proper application of its rules.
