Alkan CIT appoints Walaa El-Din Abdelatty as Group Director of Legal
Alkan CIT has appointed Walaa El-Din Abdelatty as Group Director of Legal, overseeing the legal function across the group’s subsidiaries in Africa and the Middle East.
In this role, Walaa El-Din Abdelatty will lead corporate governance, commercial contracting, compliance, and dispute management across multiple jurisdictions. Acting as a strategic partner to senior management, he will focus on mitigating legal and regulatory risks while enabling sustainable growth throughout the region.

Professional Background
Prior to joining Alkan CIT, Walaa El-Din Abdelatty served as Group Head of Legal & Compliance at valU and as Director of Legal Affairs at Raya Holding for Financial Investments. He also held the position of Head of Legal Affairs at Benya.
Earlier in his career, he spent over 19 years at Vodafone Egypt, where he served as Legal & Government Relations Manager and previously as Senior Property Controller. His experience also includes roles as Founder of Scanord Trade AB, Executive Partner at FX.CAPITAL EGY, and Legal Advisor at Fly Well Travel.
Throughout his career, Walaa El-Din Abdelatty has built extensive expertise in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, commercial structuring, dispute management, and strategic legal leadership across telecommunications, financial services, and diversified sectors.
Education
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Cairo University.
