Al Tamimi & Company advised Masdar-led Consortium on 2,000 MWac Sadawi Solar Project in Saudi Arabia

The leading law firm in the Middle East, Al Tamimi & Company, is proud to have advised a consortium led by Masdar – including EDP Renewables and Saudi Arabia’s Jada Fund of Funds – on the development of the 2,000 MWac Sadawi Solar Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This project is one of the largest solar PV initiatives in the world and forms part of Saudi Arabia’s National Renewable Energy Program, managed by the Ministry of Energy and backed by the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC).

The project was awarded as part of the fourth round of competitive tenders and is expected to play a key role in achieving Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 sustainability targets. The signing ceremony took place in Riyadh in the presence of prominent officials and consortium members.

Al Tamimi & Company advised the consortium on all legal aspects of the transaction, including project structuring, regulatory advice, financing arrangements, and project documentation.
